GDAL drivers based on Meteosatlib, for Meteosat raster datasets.
Installing the plugins enables support for these formats in any program that uses GDAL:
Together with the plugins, msat-gdal also provides the msat tool that can crop, scale, display and convert Meteosat images. msat also uses GDAL, so it can convert from and to any format supported by it.
Conversions and reprojections also work perfectly fine using standard tools such as gdal_translate or gdalwarp.
The images above, which show the precision of georeferencing non-HRV and HRV images using the msat-gdal drivers, are generated using a mix of GDAL tools and GMT, using this script.
